Home to “The Parliament,” the foundation of the success of The Royal Square District, the arts and culture of The District has opened up a new way for artists to share their talent. With almost a whole block of art galleries and artist work space, the arts community in The Royal Square District has and will continue to cultivate a culture of creativity.

During January and February The Parliament will be closed for renovations. grand reopening will be March 4th for First Friday with a brand new exhibit, "Old & New". it is an ode to both the "then" & the "now". 

 

The HIVE Art Space

HIVE Artspace is an artist collective comprising of: HIVE Gallery, HIVE Artist Studios, and HIVE Resident Artists in the Artist Studios. The HIVE Gallery features monthly exhibits opening each First Friday that are open to the public during gallery hours. HIVEs mission is to inspire, motivate, and support the members of the collective in whatever their artistic endeavor may be. Hollie Chantiles Shortino and Susan Scofield, co-runners of the HIVE Gallery, strive to cultivate and nurture the growing creative community in Downtown York. 

 

Kings Courtyard Artists' Collective

The King's Courtyard Artist's Collective is a group of talented artists representing numerous genres of art. Jewelry, fine art, stained glass, sculpture, photography and marker art are some of the genres included in exhibits each month.
